REPORTING:
Operations Manager
JOB PURPOSE:
To carry out certification and surveillance activities in connection with the various schemes operated by the IPQI.
RESPONSILITIES:
Auditing client facilities for registration and routine surveillance to assess their conformity to the associated management system standard
To conduct the above audits and prepare the associated documentation in accordance with all IPQI procedures
To communicate with assigned clients and IPQI staff to ensure efficient audit planning and timely resolution of questions and non-conformities
To keep abreast of technology and regulatory trends affecting certification
To promote and project the Certification/Inspection service through the dissemination of information by correspondence, lectures and publications or otherwise as the opportunity arises
To maintain strict confidentiality of matters relating to client work at all times.
* To undertake travel throughout the US and abroad to evaluate applications for Certification and Registration Schemes operated by IPQI
To perform any other duties as may be required by the Operations Manager in accordance with the conditions of service of employees
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to people at all levels within and outside the IPQI
Ability to write clear, concise reports
Ability to work on own initiative and to work as a team member
Presentation skills which are required for promotion of IPQI
QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree or equivalent in Science or Engineering discipline with a minimum of five years experience
A qualification as Lead Assessor of Quality Assurance and/or Environmental Management Systems
